Game 4 Sees Denver Storm Back from Historic Deficit
Lakers Fall, Nuggets One Win Away from NBA Finals
The Denver Nuggets clinched a berth in the Western Conference Finals on Saturday night, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 117-91 in Game 4 of their playoff series. The victory gives Denver a 3-1 lead in the series, and they now need just one more win to advance to the NBA Finals.
The Nuggets got off to a strong start in Game 4, building a 16-point lead in the first half. The Lakers fought back to cut the deficit to 9 points at halftime, but Denver came out strong in the second half and extended their lead to 18 points in the third quarter.
The Lakers made a late run in the fourth quarter, but the Nuggets held on for the victory. Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 29 points, while Nikola Jokic added 26 points, 15 rebounds, and 9 assists.
Los Angeles' star LeBron James was held to just 21 points on 7-of-22 shooting. Anthony Davis also struggled, scoring just 16 points on 5-of-14 shooting.
With the win, the Nuggets are now one win away from reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since 1985. Game 5 of the series is scheduled for Monday night in Denver.
