Southgate names final squad for Germany tournament
England have been drawn in Group C alongside Denmark, Serbia and Slovenia
England manager Gareth Southgate has named his final 26-man squad for UEFA EURO 2024, which will be held in Germany from 14 June to 14 July. The Three Lions have been drawn in Group C alongside Denmark, Serbia and Slovenia, and will be looking to improve on their semi-final finish at the 2021 tournament.
Southgate has made a number of changes to the squad that reached the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup, with several players dropping out due to injury or form. Among those to miss out are Harry Maguire, John Stones and Jadon Sancho. However, there are also some new faces in the squad, including Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
England will begin their Euro 2024 campaign against Denmark on 14 June, before facing Serbia on 19 June and Slovenia on 23 June. The Three Lions will be hoping to top the group and progress to the knockout stages, where they will face one of the runners-up from the other groups.
